Mission & Objectives
To provide leadership by,
Encouraging the professionalism of coaches through compliance with ICF standards, practice and ethics.
Facilitating collegiality and professional development among coaches.
Serving as a resource and creating awareness of the professional standards of coaching among coaches, individuals, organizations and groups seeking coaching, the general public
ICF MUMBAI CHAPTER is a non-profit individual membership organization, a local chapter of International Coach Federation, and is formed by professionals in India who practice and/or teach business and personal coaching. It exists to advance the art, science and practice of professional coaching. Its objects shall be:
To establish coaching as an integral part of learning and development in the society.
Help develop professional standards for coaching in India.
To create and build a community of coaches in India through interactive and participative programs for service and education of the Society at large and business & Industry in India to enhance human potential and Facilitate, promote, encourage and provide professional coaching.
Collaborate and cooperate with institutions in academia, business and other appropriate segments to promote professional coaching and training.
To promote the interest of Members in relation to Professional Coaching in India and in particular, the Profession of coaching.
To advance professionalism among its members by the collaborating withlocal, regional, and virtual chapters either singly or jointly in association with societies, public Trusts, associations, professional bodies, academic institutions, government, semi-government, local bodies, etc research institutes, organizations, and/or academic institutions, or associations, in India or aboard.
To promote and advance study and research of different branches of coaching and promote the profession of coaching via lectures, discussions or correspondence, or hold conferences, or form libraries, publish in newspaper, periodicals or journals, books and maps / flow chart or by endowments of professorship, studentship or scholarship or by encouraging research works or howsoever otherwise.
To undertake conduct or sponsor the professional development activities for trainers, trainees, coaches and such other categories of persons in relation to coaching.
To promote, undertake, develop, support, sponsor, conduct, facilitate, distribute or disseminate books, study material, course material, syllabus and distribution / dissemination / broadcasting etc of any or all material designed to enhance skill for any aspects of coaching in any form and by any means and media.
To promote, undertake, develop, support, sponsor, collaborate, associate or conduct, facilitate, research, either singly or jointly in association with societies, public trusts, associations, professional bodies, academic institutions, government, semi-government, local bodies, etc research institutes, organizations, and/or academic institutions, or associations, in India or aboard.
To recognize individuals/ societies/ Trusts/ associations / corporate bodies / organizations that have rendered outstanding service in the promoting profession of coaching.
To associate / affiliate / tie up with International Coach Federation, Inc. (Incorporated), societies, federations, public Trust, associations, professional bodies, academic institutions, government, semi-government, local bodies, etc research institutes, universities, organizations, corporate bodies or any body corporate and/or academic institutions, or associations, whether from India or abroad in furtherance of the objectives of Society and interest of its members.
To receive grants, sponsorships, donations etc from individuals/ societies/ Trusts/ associations, from India or aboard which have objects similar to the objects of the Society and for the purpose of development and promotion of the profession of coaching.
To co-operate with other organizations and institutions whose programs and activities are consistent with the mission and purposes of the Society.
To Collaborate and tie up with societies, public Trust, associations, professional bodies, academic institutions, government, semi-government, local bodies, etc. at local, regional, national or international level for professional development of coaches, engage/collaborate with organizations/agencies from India or abroad.
To do all such things as may be conducive to the development of profession of coaching, and / or incidental to attainment of the above objects or any of thema.
